The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have an initial orthodontic evaluation of their growth and development by age 7. This provides an opportunity to identify and correct developing orthodontic problems such as:
- Large overbites
- Open bites from thumb sucking
- Deep bites
- Abnormal tooth eruption
- Jaw growth discrepancies
- Under bites
- Space deficiency due to loss of baby teeth
At Clabaugh Orthodontics, we believe this visit is so important that we provide this initial evaluation as a complimentary service.
If orthodontics is not yet necessary, we will gladly continue to monitor your child’s growth and development at periodic intervals until the timing for orthodontics is right.
